Helen Rider
Helen Rider (née Beckett) was Alex Rider's mother. She is now dead. She was a nurse before she was killed with her husband John Rider in a plane explosion by a bomb set off by the couple's friend, Ash. In Scorpia, after Alex is shot, he sees an image of his mother, smiling at him.
